Today's Yooper thought
Just talked to a couple of people leaving the area because they can't handle the Winter. I don't blame them, but this Winter has been MILD! Reminds me of my favorite weather related Yooper saying ... the 20 below days keep out the riff-raff!

Gotta get up north to do some visiting
The Christmas season doesn't feel right unless I get up to visit folks in Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties. The Keweenaw area is in my blood mostly due to Lake Superior and the more stereo-typical, little stronger Yooper culture.
